TRUST IN THE LORD, WAIT EXPECTANTLY FOR HIM
|
"and hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out
within our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us."
Romans 5:5
God NEVER fails His children! He always provides for us the way of
escape (1 Cor. 10:13), but often we are the ones who fail to take it. God
always has the right answer for us in every situation (Pro. 3:5,6), but again
we are the ones who fail to seek it.
When we feel disappointed in the Lord we need to carefully examine just what
we have been trusting Him for. Our hope must be placed in Him no matter
what the outcome for in Him is where our hope belongs. Ask yourself this,
do you trust God enough for Him to say no? Do you trust God enough to
release total control to Him in areas in your life that you have been trying to
control? Is God still "all powerful" in your life when things don't turn out
like you expect they should or do you feel that God has let you down?
I spoke with the Lord about this. I was dealing with a very painful situation
in my life and I didn't understand what was going on. I know God can just
speak a word and a thing is so and I wanted Him to do that in this situation.
He asked me, "What are you waiting for?" I replied, "For You to come in and
make it all better, to make it perfect." God answered, "I would love to but I
can't because you don't live in a perfect world, but what I can do is make
"it" better in your heart. I give you peace in spite of your situation, I give
you joy in the midst of your sorrow and I give you strength for your fear. I
heal your heart and restore your soul."
My friends take courage! God does make everything better. Your situation
may not change but your heart will and that is worth hoping (confidently
expecting) for!
