OUR DIVINE CONNECTION
We are to abide in Christ and be filled with the Spirit. What we do, we do in Him. Not by
our strength or wisdom, but by abiding in Him. To be born again is to be filled with His
Spirit. We are spirit, soul and body, but beyond that we are to receive the in-filling of the
Holy Spirit. That is what makes us holy, His Spirit, not our own. We can try to be holy but
we will fail on our own strength. When God touches an individual, it is a divine touch from
heaven. After this happens, there should be changes that occur in one's life. They are to
move and go on into maturity in the Lord. The work of the Holy Spirit is convince, convict,
counsel, guide and comfort. These are just a few things that God would like to do for us.
We have a will and we either choose to be led by His Spirit, or we refuse Him. In this life we
need help, the Holy Spirit is our helper, he knows what we have need of. If we pray and are
led by God's Spirit, we are in submission and will go in the direction that God would desire
us to go. He looks for willing and submitted vessels. When first coming to Christ, I was told
I was being brainwashed. I do not know if that is how it was for any of you out there. But
the enemy tried all ways to put fear in me about God and coming to Christ. I came to Him
because I desperately needed help. I was on a downward spiral towards hell and the grave.
At a young age of 17, I was tired of living and being on this earth. I did not know I was
being controlled by the spirit of suicide. I just wasn't making it, nor could I handle what was
happening around me. Jesus came to me and witnessed to me through a very young man, I
accepted the Good News and baptized by the Holy Spirit, it was a very quick work, as the
Lord knew I needed major help. By the way, that young boy, became my husband and 30
years or so later, we are still being led by His Spirit, and still need His help today. We are
always to be growing in the Lord, and seeking Him for the plans that He has made for us.
We are always to be growing in God. No matter how old we are, there are always new
opportunities and we are to move forward in them. We are being prepared for life with Him,
when we will rule and reign with Christ. For now we need the Holy Spirit to propel us into
the plans that God desires for us to follow. We are married, but still an individual as we will
give an account for what we do in this life. I cannot say to God when I stand before Him,
that I did everything to help my husband become the man that he should be, when He had
given to me gifts and talents that I should have accomplished something also. I will have to
give an account for what He had given to me in this life also. We are to compliment each
other not control as we each will give an account for what we do in this life.
Through the Holy Spirit we have had an impartation of the very nature of God. He was given
to impart to us what is needed to accomplish what we need in this life. The gifts and callings
of God are for this time and without them, we are able to accomplish nothing. Even this
email every morning is done by God's spirit working through me. I make many mistakes,
mis-spelled words, phrases that might not make sense at times or maybe that make one
angry, but never the less, I am to be obedient to do what He has given me to do. It is my
hope that it is a help and a blessing, but at times it might not be. The Holy Spirit presents and
proves what is the moral presence of God. He writes on the tables of our hearts, what please
God or what does not. He is what divinely connects us to the Father, and he was sent from
Jesus to help us in this life. He is the wind, or breath of God, that imparts to us His wisdom
and knowledge. We sure need it today. God gives us gifts and talents for us to use for HIm.
If we use them for anything else, we may find ourselves being confused or led astray. We
need the gift of discernment today, and God does want to give this gift. We are to examine
ourselves to see if we are in the faith. So it all starts with us each individually.
Not by Might, nor by Power, but by His Spirit......
What Do You Need Today?
As I close this letter, I feel compelled to ask that question. To show that God does exist in
this life, we are to move forward in God and to accomplish what He has given us to do.
Many of you reading this, have callings and are to be moving, demonstrating God to all who
you are led to. It is our prayer that you are not trying to do it on your own strength, but to
be empowered and equipped in God for this mighty task that you are to accomplish. You are
called a minister. His minister. He knows what you need before you even ask, but you are to
ask and then receive as God wants to show Himself through your life and calling. People will
either see the Spirit of Christ in you or you. We want al to see God as we cannot take the
glory for anything. God is looking for submitted and willing vessels, so we are to submit this
morning and yield to His Spirit. Someone will be coming to Christ today. It will be because
we are tools in the Lord's hands. Bless God and bless you as we look together to accomplish
what is next, even if it is today. Amen.
In Covenant Keeping,
Diane
